Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions buyers ask us most often about our fall protection products, certification, ordering and product care. If your question is not covered here, write to reicio@qq.com.

Q01Who is REICIO?

REICIO is the brand of Taizhou Anto Protective Equipment Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of fall protection and height safety equipment based in Taizhou, Jiangsu, China. The company was founded in 2018 and produces safety harnesses, lanyards, energy absorbers, ropes, carabiners, anchors, descenders, rope grabs, pulleys, helmets and complete height safety kits. Around 70% of its customers are in Europe and North America.

Q02Where are REICIO products manufactured?

All products are manufactured at our own factory in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, China. The registered address is Room 401, Building 7, No. 99 Xianglong Road, Shixiang Street, Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, Jiangsu, China.

Q03Are REICIO products CE certified?

Our products are CE certified and our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001. Certification is held per model rather than for the whole catalogue, so please ask for the test report of the exact model you intend to buy — that report is the document your auditor or notified body will ask for.

Q04Which standards do your products meet?

Depending on the product type: full body harnesses to EN 361, lanyards to EN 354, energy absorbers to EN 355, work positioning belts to EN 358, fall arresters to EN 360, connectors and carabiners to EN 362, and anchors to EN 795. We also manufacture to the equivalent Chinese standards, including GB 6095-2021 for full body harnesses. Not every model is tested to every standard, so always confirm against the report for that model.

Q05What is the difference between EN 361 and EN 358?

EN 361 covers full body harnesses for fall arrest: the harness is designed to catch a person after a fall and distribute the arrest forces over the body. EN 358 covers work positioning belts and lanyards: they hold the user at the work position, for example on a pole or a mast, and are not designed to arrest a fall. A harness used for both tasks must be rated for both.

Q06Can I order small quantities or a single sample?

We are a manufacturer and quote wholesale and OEM orders. Quantities are agreed per model in the quotation: send us the model number, the quantity you need and the destination country, and our sales team will confirm the minimum quantity and the sample arrangement for that model.

Q07Do you support OEM and ODM?

Yes. We manufacture under customer brands with customer packaging and labelling, and we develop products to customer specifications. Send your logo files, label artwork or technical drawing together with the model you have in mind, and we will confirm feasibility and what we need from you.

Q08How do I get a price?

Our website is quote-based and has no online checkout. Send the model numbers, quantities and destination country to reicio@qq.com or through the contact form, and our sales team replies with the price, the lead time and the test reports available for those models.

Q09Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. Around 70% of our customers are in Europe and North America and we export worldwide. Shipping terms, the port of loading and who is responsible for freight and duties are confirmed in each quotation.

Q10Can you produce to our own drawing or specification?

Yes, within the limits of the applicable standard. A product made to a customer drawing still has to pass the type examination for the standard it claims, so we review your drawing first and tell you where it needs to change before sampling.

Q11How do I choose the right harness size?

Each harness page lists the waist and thigh circumference range it covers. Measure over the clothing you will wear at work, with the tape snug but not tight. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger one; a harness that is too small cannot be adjusted to the correct position.

Q12What are the attachment points on a harness for?

The dorsal (back) D-ring is the fall arrest attachment point. Side D-rings are for work positioning. A front attachment point is used for ladder climbing, rescue or rope access where the model allows it. Use only the attachment points stated in the manual of that model, and never attach to a point that is not marked.

Q13When must a harness be withdrawn from service?

Withdraw the harness immediately after it has arrested a fall, if inspection finds cuts, fraying, burns, chemical damage, or deformed or cracked hardware, if the markings or the inspection label are illegible, or when the maximum service life stated by the manufacturer is reached. Damaged equipment must never be repaired and returned to service by the user.

Q14Can an energy absorber be reused after it has deployed?

No. Once the absorber has deployed — the pack is torn open or the stitching has ripped — it has absorbed the energy of a fall and must be withdrawn from service and replaced together with the lanyard it is sewn to. A deployed absorber gives no protection on a second fall.

Q15How often should the equipment be inspected?

The user checks the equipment before every use: webbing, stitching, hardware, markings and function. In addition, a competent person carries out a detailed recorded inspection at the interval set by your national regulation or by your own risk assessment, whichever is stricter, and always after any event that may have damaged the equipment.

Q16Which anchor points can I use?

Only anchor devices rated for fall arrest, installed and tested as described in their own manual — EN 795 anchors, or a structural anchor confirmed by a competent person to hold the required load. A handrail, a pipe, a cable tray or a temporary fixing is not an anchor point unless it has been assessed as one.

Q17Do you provide test reports and certificates?

Yes, for the models we have had tested. Ask for the report by model number: it states the standard, the test laboratory and the report number, which is what an importer, an auditor or a notified body will look for. We only state the certifications we actually hold, and we do not issue reports for models that have not been tested.

Q18How long does production take?

Production time depends on the model, the quantity and the finishing you need (webbing colour, labels, packaging), so it is confirmed in writing with each quotation. Samples are quoted separately and the sample lead time is confirmed at the same time.

Q19How do I become a distributor?

Write to reicio@qq.com with your company profile, the market you cover and the product categories you are interested in. We review distributor requests individually and reply with our terms for that market.

Q20Where can I see the full product range?

The complete range is on our shop page, organised into fifteen categories: safety harnesses, energy absorbers, fall arresters, lanyards, ropes, carabiners and connectors, anchors, descenders, ascenders and rope grabs, pulleys, rope protectors, helmets, gloves, bags, and complete kits and sets. Every product page lists the model number, the material, the dimensions and the weight.
