- Grooves inside the friction wheel dissipate the heat generated by rope friction, reducing wear on the rope.
- The handle is fitted with thickened rubber for comfortable long-duration use.
- A safety catch prevents the carabiner from coming loose, and the side plate can be opened or closed quickly without detaching the carabiner.
- Can also be used as a tensioning device when rigging a horizontal (crossing) rescue.
