- Horns: during rappelling or work at height the rope is wrapped around the horns to hold position once the intended point is reached — simple to operate.
- The rope passes through the central ring and is then connected to the main carabiner; for a slow descent wrap the rope once around the horns, to hold completely wrap it several more times.
- Suitable for protecting a lead climber or for descending.
